Travel notes of Bonn

Driving from Netherland to German needs about two hours, we arrived at Bonn in the afternoon, we get off the car to enjoy the warm sunshine.Bonn is an old city and it was developed from a small village which was been depended on fishing and ferry. This name was originated from the
Spanish word “Bona”, and then the Romans turned it to”Bonn”. This city has about 2000 years history. Drusousse ,the nephew of Augustus emperor
suggested to built a bridge on the Rhine river ,which made a base for the birth and development of Bonn. In 1952,Bonn got the independence right
and joined into the “Rhine City Union”.In 1314 and 1346,the Germany emperor had been coronated at here twice.In 1525 ,Bonn become the capital
of Cologne. In 18th country ,Bonn became to prosper ,after World War II in 1949,Bonn was chosen to be the temporary capital of German. After the unification of western and eastern German, Berlin became the capital of German and Bonn turned to be desolated, but very peaceful .The
city centre is Bonn University, there used to be a palace of a marquess, all buildings are in Baroque style, Marx and Heine studied here before.Out of the Bonn University there is the dock, I got there in winter, so there was no boats on the river.I heard there were some boats on the Rhine river,
you can sit on the boat to visit the old castles and buildings all protected well along the bank of Rhine river, if you have the Europe train ticket, you
can take the boat for free.
